【摘要】:Theserequirementscoverreceptacleswithplugs,receptacleswithplugsinterlockedwithcircuitbreakers,andreceptacleswithplugsinterlockedwithswitches,forinstallationanduseinhazardous(classified)locations,ClassI,Division1,GroupsA,B,C,andD,andClassII,Division1,GroupsFandGinaccordancewiththeNationalElectricalCodeNFPA70.Theserequirementsalsocoverexplosion-proofelectricalequipmentforinstallationanduseinClassI,Zone1,GroupsIIA,IIB,IIBplusHydrogen,andIIChazardous(classified)locations.Theserequirementscoverdevicesratednotmorethan200amperes,notmorethan600volts,alternating-current(ac),andnotmorethan250volts,direct-current(dc).Theserequirementscoverreceptacle-plugcombinationsforuseonlyunderthefollowingatmosphericconditions:Aminimumambienttemperatureofminus25?C(minus13?F).Anoxygenconcentrationnotgreaterthan21percentbyvolume.Anominalbarometricpressureofoneatmosphere.Aproductthatcontainsfeatures,characteristics,components,materials,orsystemsnewordifferentfromthosecoveredbytherequirementsinthisstandard,andthatinvolvesariskoffire,electricshock,orinjurytopersonsshallbeevaluatedusingtheappropriateadditionalcomponentandend-productrequirementsasdeterminednecessarytomaintaintheacceptablelevelofsafetyasoriginallyanticipatedbytheintentofthisStandard.Aproductwhosefeatures,characteristics,components,materials,orsystemsconflictwithspecificprovisionsofthisStandardcannotbejudgedtocomplywiththisStandard.Whereconsideredappropriate,revisionofrequirementsshallbeproposedandadoptedinconformancewiththemethodsemployedfordevelopment,revisionandimplementationofthisstandard.
