【摘要】:Thedistillation(volatility)characteristicsofhydrocarbonshaveanimportanteffectontheirsafetyandperformance,especiallyinthecaseoffuelsandsolvents.Theboilingrangegivesinformationonthecomposition,theproperties,andthebehaviorofthefuelduringstorageanduse.Volatilityisthemajordeterminantofthetendencyofahydrocarbonmixturetoproducepotentiallyexplosivevapors.Thedistillationcharacteristicsareequallyimportantforbothautomotiveandaviationgasolines,affectingstarting,warm-up,andtendencytovaporlockathighoperatingtemperaturesorhighaltitude,orboth.Thepresenceofhighboilingpointcomponentsintheseandotherfuelscansignificantlyaffectthedegreeofformationofsolidcombustiondeposits.Volatility,asitaffectstherateofevaporation,isanimportantfactorintheapplicationofmanysolvents,particularlythoseusedinpaints.Distillationlimitsareoftenincludedinpetroleumproductspecifications,incommercialcontractagreements,processrefinery/controlapplications,andforcompliancetoregulatoryrules.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheprocedureforthedeterminationofthedistillationcharacteristicsofpetroleumproductsintherangeof20to400C(68to752F)usingminiaturizedautomaticdistillationapparatus.1.2Thistestmethodisapplicabletosuchproductsas:lightandmiddledistillates,automotivespark-ignitionenginefuels,aviationgasolines,aviationturbinefuels,regularandlowsulfurdieselfuels,biodieselfuels,specialpetroleumspirits,naphthas,whitespirits,kerosines,burnerfuels,andmarinefuels.1.3Thistestmethodisdesignedfortheanalysisofdistillateproducts;itisnotapplicabletoproductscontainingappreciablequantitiesofresidualmaterial.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
