【摘要】:Thistestmethodisusefulinconfirmingthatamaterialhasbeenaddedtotheasphalttoprovideasignificantelastomericcharacteristic.Itdoesnotnecessarilyidentifythetypeoramountofmaterialadded.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheelasticrecoveryofabituminousmaterialmeasuredbytherecoverablestraindeterminedafterseveringanelongatedbriquetspecimenofthematerialoftheformdescribedin.Thespecimensarepulledtoaspecifieddistanceataspecifiedspeedandataspecifiedtemperature.Unlessotherwisespecified,thetestshallbemadeatatemperatureof250.5176;C(770.9176;F)andwithaspeedof5cm/min5%.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Valuesinparenthesesininch-poundunitsareprovidedforinformationalpurposesonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
