【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoverstheminimumtemperaturerequiredtoigniteinsulatingmaterialsusingaglowingheatsource.Inapreliminaryfashion,thistestmethoddifferentiatesbetweenthesusceptibilitiesofdifferentmaterialswithrespecttotheirresistancetoignitionduetoanelectrically-heatedsource.Thistestmethodappliestomoldedorsheetmaterialsavailableinthicknessesrangingfrom0.25to6.4mm.Thistestmethodisnotvalidfordeterminingtheignitionbehaviorofcompleteelectrotechnicalequipment,sincethedesignoftheelectrotechnicalproductinfluencestheheattransferbetweenadjacentparts.Thistestmethodmeasuresanddescribestheresponseormaterials,products,orassembliestoheatandflameundercontrolledconditions,butdoesnotbyitselfincorporateallfactorsrequiredforfirehazardorfireriskassessmentofthematerials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.(SeeIEEE/ASTMSI-10forfurtherdetails.)Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificprecautionarystatements,seeSection9.Firetestingofproductsandmaterialsisinherentlyhazardous,andadequatesafeguardsforpersonnelandpropertyshallbeemployedinconductingthesetests.Firetestinginvolveshazardousmaterials,operations,andequipment.Note1-AlthoughthistestmethodandIEC60695-2-13differinapproachandindetail,dataobtainedusingeitheraretechnicallyequivalent.
